Jamie Theis - President
Jamie brings the drive and determination behind JL Theis, Inc. A long family history in the trades, starting with her great grandfather, created an entrepreneur with the practice of producing the best quality work. Through Jamie’s hard work she has received two Achievement Certificates from the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Jamie is a U of M Certified Erosion Control Installer and MnDOT certified Landscape Installer, as well as being a proud member of the National Concrete Masonry Association, the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute, the Blue Thumb Group, the Association of Women Contractors, the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association, and the Minnesota Subcontractor’s Association. |
Lee Theis - VP/Field Supervisor
Lee has grown up in the construction industry, working for his father's company from a young age. At nineteen he started his own event promotions company, building motocross tracks and running races. In 2001 Lee added a landscape company to his portfolio. Lee brings to JL Theis, Inc., 21 years of experience, a diversity of construction and hardscape experience, from grading and excavating to retaining walls and paver installation. His talent and skill have won him three awards from the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association. |
Foremen
Craig DanberryCraig has been leading our hardscape crew as a Foreman since 2017. He is a seasoned industry professional with more than 20 years of experience in the landscape/hardscape field. He ensures that his team maintains quality standards both in production and safety. Craig’s main areas of focus as an equipment operator and foreman at JL Theis, Inc. are retaining walls and pavers.

Joe CurtisIn 2017 Joe joined our team as the Landscape Foreman. He has been working in the green industry for over 20 years and started his career at a tree farm/nursery. Joe has been working his way up ever since. At JL Theis, Inc. he mainly focuses on planting and tree projects.
His favorite spare time activities include hunting and fishing. |
Jamie Grob
Jamie grew up doing concrete work with his dad. He is an experienced industry professional starting his construction career in 2001. Jamie became a member of the Laborers 563 union in 2004 and worked in commercial construction until 2004. His main focus are erosion control and concrete projects.

Pat Grob
Pat is a certified concrete finisher and has been working in the construction industry since he was 18. Love for construction runs in the family and over the years Pat has mastered the art of concrete.
He is an active member of the local Mason’s union and enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time. |
Dan Hufnagle - Project Manager
Dan has held various positions in landscaping, building materials and construction management and brings over 10 years of knowledge and experience to our team. Dan is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and likes to ride dirtbikes, play hockey and go ice fishing in his free time. Dan will be instrumental in acquiring projects and submitting bids for our team.

Kyle Willemssen - Foreman
Kyle joined JL Theis, Inc. in the fall of 2022. He studied photography and design and has worked in the construction field on and off since 2003.
As an Assistant Foreman Kyle enjoys working on larger retaining wall projects. When not working he loves spending time with his family and dogs, traveling and woodworking. |
Cody Adomat - Shop Foreman
Cody attended Dakota County Technical College and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Heavy Construction Equipment Technology. He worked at RDO Equipment for 5 years before joining JL Theis, Inc. in 2021. Cody enjoys working on hydraulic systems as well as driving trucks and seeing various job sites. In his spare time Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter as well as exploring the outdoors. |
Duane Rau - Utility Foreman
Kevin Callaghan - General Manager
Growing up in Illinois, Kevin gained 33 years of experience in infrastructure improvements and construction management for the City of Naperville, Ill.
He moved to Minnesota in 2018 and joined a Heavy Highway company as a Project Superintendent. Joining JL Theis, Inc. in 2021 Kevin handles project management, safety and supervision of multiple projects. |
